‘Mass Deception without Deceivers’? The Holocaust on East and West German Radio in the 1960s.

This article is one of the scarce one I could find that clearly puts the focus on the differences between news broadcasting in the former East and in the former West Germany. Although this article only puts the attention on the medium radio, it shows a clear difference in the way the western and the eastern media dealt with the issue of the Nazi past. Both of the media dealt different with the situation, for example GDR broadcasters occupied themselves less and less with the subject then FRG broadcasters did. This and more of these differences may be useful for my study in pointing out the differences in media behaviour between the former east and former west Germany.
