This study tries to give an answer on the question: ‘How are NGOs framed in the Indian Media?’ De Souza (2010) points out that it is important to look at the media because public legitimacy can have serious consequences for an NGOs ability to garner funds. An qualitative framing analysis was conducted. Different frames were founded in the elite newspapers.
This study is important because it shows how NGOs are portrayed in the media. This portraying is important because it affects the fundraising.
